OFFICIAL RULES NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT TO ENTER OR WIN A PRIZE IS NECESSARY. PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. The following Sweepstakes offer is good in the United States only and shall be construed and evaluated according to the laws of the United States. Do not enter this Sweepstakes if you are not a legal U.S. resident located in the U.S. at the time of entry. You must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. HOW TO ENTER: You are given the option to enter the Sweepstakes for the next day's drawing when you make any purchase online at www.barbiecollector.com, between May 7, 2009 and June 5, 2009 ("Entry Period"). You will have the opportunity to opt out of the Sweepstakes. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. To enter without a purchase, go to www.barbiecollector.com and complete an entry form and submit it during the entry period. Limit one entry per day per entrant whether by purchase or non-purchase method. Daily entries, whether by purchase or non-purchase method, will not be rolled over from one drawing to the next. For the purposes of this promotion, an "entrant" shall consist of a person, family or household with a valid e-mail address. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person in whose name the e-mail account is registered provided that person meets all eligibility criteria set forth in the Eligibility section of these Official Rules. Sweepstakes starts 12:01 a.m. Central Daylight Time on May 7, 2009 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Central Daylight Time on June 5, 2009. PRIZES: Thirty (30) Grand Prizes. One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected at random for each day between May 7, 2009 and June 5, 2009. The Grand Prize of a Barbie® Collector doll will be selected as specified below.
RANDOM DRAWINGS: Sweepstakes drawings to be held beginning May 8, 2009 and each day thereafter through June 6, 2009. A random drawing will be conducted each day, from among all eligible entries received the previous day between 12:01 a.m. Central Daylight Time and 11:59 p.m. Central Daylight Time, by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes promotion. Odds of winning a Grand Prize are dependent on the number of eligible entries received each day. In case of unavailability of any prize, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open to legal U.S. residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia that are age 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of Mattel Inc., its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, printing company, independent judging organization and immediate family and household members of each are not eligible to win. Void wherever prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws apply. GENERAL: By entering this Sweepstakes, participants agree to (a) abide by and be bound by these Official Sweepstakes Rules and the decisions of the independent judging organization, which are final in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes, and (b) release and hold harmless Mattel, Inc. and the officers, employees, agents of each, from and against any claims, damages of any kind. Winners will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity release (except where prohibited), which must be signed, and returned to the Sponsor within 14 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance with this condition may result in forfeiture of prize and an alternate winner being selected. Prizes won by minors, who are 18 years of age or under, will be awarded in minor's name to parent or legal guardian who must sign and return all required documents. Winners will be notified by mail. If prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and will be awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing. All taxes on the prize will be the responsibility of the winner. No substitutions or transfer of prizes permitted except as provided herein. Limit one Grand Prize per household or family for entire promotion period. All prizes will be awarded provided a sufficient number of entries are received. By accepting the prize, winner consents to the use of his or her name, and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited. Entries become the property of Mattel. Prizes will be shipped within 21 to 28 days after receipt of the signed Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity release. MISCELLANEOUS: Sponsor is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes. If, in the judges' opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or suspend the Sweepstakes and conduct a random drawing to award the prizes using all entries received as of the date of termination. Sponsor also reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes. Use of robotic, automatic, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods. In the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Entries may be subject to verification prior to prize drawings.
